What Smells Repel Deer?

If you have a garden, then you will be aware of the challenge of controlling the deer. People who feel excited to see them for the first time later they may cry to see their garden because deer will chew everything available within your garden. Deer also carry a disease that can affect both human and dogs. You can repel them by use of chemicals, but it will be costly and may cause another side effect. Why did you not choose the home remedies that will help you to repel them at a very low cost? 

Use of Rotten egg spray 

Decomposed eggs produce a gas that is called hydrogen sulfide. A rotten egg smell is worse than a morning bad case mouth breath smell. This smell will help you to keep the deer many miles away from your garden. 

How to prepare this remedy?

• Water 3 cup
• Raw eggs 3
• Garlic cloves 3 
• Mile 3 tsp 
• Cayenne pepper 3 tsp

Method

• Blend the eggs, now add garlic, milk, cayenne pepper, and water in the blender. 
• Now add this material in a container and keep it outside for several days to agitation.
• Add this remaining liquid into a spray bottle and use on the embattled place like garden plants and yard. Save the remaining mixture into a jar and reapply according to the need. 

Hot chili pepper spray 

In this method, you are going to use the red chili, so handle it very carefully because they are very spicy and can cause enough irritation. So it is better to use the blender on the low speed to avoid the side effects. 

Ingredients 

• Habanero pepper 4
• Water ¼ cup 
• Oil 2 tsp
• Milk or yogurt 3 tsp

Method 

• Add the pepper in the water and blend them to make liquid
• Strain this liquid through a coffee filter into a jar. 
• Now mix the milk in the oil) vegetable or olive). It will help the mixture to stick with the plants. 
• Now add this mixture into a spray bottle and dilute with water in 1:10 quantity. 
• Spray this mixture on the plants and yard; it will help you to repel the deer and keep away from your plants. 
• Reapply this spray after the rainfall. 

Other ways to repel the deer

Use of sprinkle chili powder- Sprinkle the powdered around your plants and yard. This method works wonderfully. 

Grow the plants that deer do not like- you will be surprised to know that the deer do not like to eat plants that produce a smell. You can grow following plants that have a smell and will help you to repel the deer.
